Division 5 is a full-service structural steel fabricator based in Winston, GA. Founded in 2001, we have five manufacturing plants totaling 475,000+ square feet and over 200 skilled, hard-working team members. We can produce 75,000 tons of structural steel per year across our locations.

Chief Executive Officer
Bryan Hill, CEO and co-founder of Division 5, boasts over 32 years of experience in the steel industry. His journey began in the 1990s at his father's steel erection company, providing him with a firsthand understanding of the industry's communication challenges. Witnessing the impact of such hurdles fueled Bryan's commitment to precision and craftsmanship, ultimately leading to the establishment of Division 5. With years of experience in steel erection, Bryan possesses a comprehensive understanding of the processes and challenges involved in erecting steel structures. His hands-on experience not only shaped his technical knowledge but also instilled an appreciation for the complexities of the field. Recognizing the evolving landscape of the steel market, Bryan adeptly shifted Division 5's strategy during the 2010 financial crisis, showcasing his ability to drive growth regardless of the current market. Under Bryan's leadership, Division 5 has experienced remarkable growth, evolving from a local player into a national enterprise with multiple manufacturing locations, expansive production space, and an impressive workforce. Bryan's strategic vision and customer relationship skills have established Division 5 as a key player in the U.S. steel fabrication industry. Rhonda Wylie

Chief Financial Officer
Rhonda Wylie, CFO and co-founder of Division 5, brings over 35 years of experience in the steel industry. Equipped with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, her journey in the steel industry began with instrumental contributions to her father's steel erection company, where she holds contractor's licenses for multiple states. She subsequently owned and operated multiple companies across various industries, providing her with a diverse background that enriches her financial leadership. As CFO, Rhonda oversees all aspects of finance, including financial planning and analysis, corporate accounting, tax, treasury, and pension investments. Her strategic mindset and extensive experience enable her to spearhead key operational and acquisition decisions, showcasing her role in shaping the company's trajectory. Beyond her financial responsibilities, Rhonda demonstrates an unparalleled understanding of the steel industry. Her hands-on approach and commitment to excellence are evident as she has worked alongside every department within the company. From project management to estimating, detailing, production, and delivery, Rhonda's holistic knowledge positions her as a confident and agile leader with insights into both operational and financial intricacies. Ron Stoffel

President
Serving as Division 5's President since May 2022, Ron Stoffel brings over two decades of experience in the steel industry. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Coastal Carolina University and another in Accounting from High Point University, Ron's leadership is pivotal in developing and maintaining a satisfied customer base and fostering continued growth opportunities for Division 5. His expertise extends across production management, capital asset development, plant layout, inventory management, purchasing, cost control, and optimizing production capacity. Ron served as Sales Manager at Lyndon Steel Company from 2004 to 2021, achieving an annual sales average of $50-60 million and peaking at $100 million in 2021. He spearheaded the end-to-end sales process, increasing revenue from $50 million to $400 million annually. His role included negotiating contracts, monitoring projects, and collaborating on substantial projects for high-profile clients like Amazon, Target, Walmart, Bridgestone, and Cooper Tire. Before this, Ron served as a Contract Manager, Estimator, and Sales Representative at Triad Steel Company, where he improved estimating processes and drove sales by analyzing customer needs. With ambitious goals to broaden the customer base and double sales within three to five years, Ron Stoffel's leadership ensures Division 5's trajectory toward sustained success and growth in the steel fabrication industry.

Tiffany Brown

Corporate Controller
With a foundation in construction accounting, Tiffany brings a wealth of experience to the executive team. Holding a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of West Georgia, she has developed a deep understanding of construction financial reporting, budgeting, and risk management. Tiffany joined Division 5 in 2015 and swiftly climbed the ranks, propelled by her exceptional analytical abilities and dedication to financial management. In her role as Corporate Controller, she spearheads the company’s financial strategy, playing a pivotal role in financial planning, budgeting, financial analysis, and the implementation of internal controls. Working closely with department heads and executives, Tiffany streamlines financial processes to enhance operational efficiency. Her keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy are instrumental in maintaining the financial integrity of Division 5. As Corporate Controller, Tiffany consistently demonstrates leadership, financial expertise, and an unwavering commitment to the company's success.

Chief Accounting Officer
Jeffrey Thompson has served as the Chief Accounting Officer at Division 5 since July 2020, playing an instrumental role in the company’s financial management. With a stellar 30-year career, he previously excelled as the CFO of Structural Steel of Carolina, now under Division 5's umbrella. As a licensed CPA and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill – Kenan-Flagler Business School, Jeffrey's background includes over a decade in public accounting, notably in the construction industry. Jeffrey is committed to steering Division 5 toward continued fiscal excellence and growth.

John MacDowell

Director of Sales, Georgia
John MacDowell has been an integral part of Division 5 since 2016, overseeing sales and managing the estimating department for the Georgia location. With a career path dating back to 1994, he began in Route sales for Holox, a welding supply company in Atlanta. Following this, John was a Project Manager for Southland Mfg. and later owned and operated a small fabrication company in West GA. Notable among his achievements at Division 5 is leading annual sales of $21 million before spearheading the creation of the estimating department and its guidelines.

With 25 years of experience in the fabrication industry, Michael Parnell has served as the Sales Director for Division 5 since 2007. Specializing in complex projects for government, education, and design-build, he oversees sales for the North Carolina operations. Throughout his tenure at Division 5, Michael has held various key positions, including Sales Manager, Project Manager, Senior Estimator, Estimator, and Production Assistant.

With over 8 years of experience in the steel fabrication industry, Joseph Thomas serves as the General Manager for all North Carolina locations. Since 2020, he has led with a wealth of industry knowledge gained from previous positions as Director of Operations, Operations Manager, and Sales Engineer. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Master of Business Administration from Wake Forest University. As a registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina, Joseph brings a unique blend of technical expertise and business insights to his leadership role. As General Manager, Joseph directly manages and guides the operational staff, leveraging his extensive operational management experience to plan and achieve organizational goals and key performance indicators meticulously. His hands-on approach extends across all departments in North Carolina, showcasing a wide breadth of knowledge that enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire operation.

Nick Cohran

Senior Detailing Manager/ Structure & Miscellaneous Coordinator
Nick Cohran has been detailing with our company since 2015. Nick has (CAD) schooling from West Georgia Technical College, and is SDS2 and AISC certified. Nick helps manage a team of 15 In House Detailers with mixed experience in Structure and Miscellaneous, along with all subcontracted detailing that is required. He started when we were still drawing in 2D Cad, and has helped transition our detailing team into one of the leading 3D software programs for steel drafting and CNC automation (SDS2). Always evolving and implementing the latest improvements for our Automated Machinery, our detailing department is always driving our fabrication above and beyond our competitors. With him working directly with our General Contractors, our fabrication shops, and the Erectors, he has helped standardize connection design and our Miscellaneous Steel standards for consistency and ease of installation. With his help we continue to grow our detailing department and meet our customers needs for timely and accurate designs.

Dalton Hill

Miscellaneous Manager/Coordinator
Dalton Hill has been detailing with our company since 2019. Dalton is SDS2 and AISC certified. With the eagerness to learn and always develop the fastest processes for detailing, Dalton has worked his way up into managing our Miscellaneous Department. Under his direction and checking, Dalton has helped develop and standardize many detailing practices, that unify most all of the detailing that comes from our company, to give our customers consistency in the drawings that they review. With our customers receiving the consistency, clarity, and dynamic of how much detail our drafters provide, submittals can be reviewed quicker and more accurately, for an expedited process and less issues or questions. With Dalton always seeking the next best way to improve detailing, our company will always be on climb to become better than the day before.
